An Occlusal Adjustment, also referred to as Equilibration, is a procedure that aims to remove the interferences that keep teeth from fitting together properly. The interferences need to be removed because they are preventing the jaw from resting in its anatomically correct position.
After the adjustment is made, you will receive an occlusal guard, which will protect the tooth surface and relax your jaw muscles.
